Work in progress

Some commitments are keeping me away from this neborn blog, days are very hot, the sea is far away and the sultriness is terrible. But my will is still her and I'm going on the same. The concept of this blog is to post an illustration a week, but for this time I'll leave you with an illustration sepia-colored, I will look forward to the next week!

Ps: in this moment I would not mind to leave over the sea...I'm not one of those who often complains "I HATE WINTER, I WANT SUMMER" or "I HATE SUMMER, I WANT WINTER", decisely no.
I hate summer and winter, I only want fall and spring. <.<

Un po' di impegni mi stanno tenendo lontano da questo blog neonato, le giornate sono calde, il mare è lontano e l'afa aumenta. Però la volontà c'è e si và avanti anche così.
L'idea del blog è quella di postare un'illustrazione a colori ogni settimana, per questa volta devo lasciarvi con un'illustrazione color seppia, per la prossima vedremo di farcela. :)

Ps: in questo momento non mi dispiacerebbe vivere in riva al mare, non sono uno di quelli che si lamenta d'inverno "ODIO L'INVERNO, VOGLIO L'ESTATE" o "ODIO L'ESTATE, VOGLIO L'INVERNO", proprio no.
Odio l'estate e l'inverno, voglio solo autunno e primavera. <.<

The illustration of the week is dedicated to animals, in particular, to reptiles, so often feared and hated for their slimy appearance. Poor ones...
Made with indian ink and markers.
Bio:
"Butterflis Lizard (Lacertilia faretratis)"
It feeds mainly of butterflies and other small insects, the little wings on the back are not made for flying, nor for gliding, their only function is to release pheromones and spread them in the air, this will lure their preys.

Naturally this lizard doesn't exist....probably...

L'illustrazione di questa settimana è dedicata al mondo animale, in particolare ai rettili, spesso temuti e odiati per il loro aspetto viscido. Poveretti....
Realizzato con pantoni e inchiostro di china.
Bio:
"Lucertola delle Farfalle (Lacertilia faretratis)"
Si nutre principalmente di farfalle e piccoli insetti, le alette sulla schiena non servono per il volo, nè per planare, la loro funzione è quella di rilasciare e spargere feromoni nell'aria in modo da attirare le prede.

Naturalmente questa lucertola non esiste....credo.

Here we go!

Here we are at the second post!
The blog is still in its starting phase, you can already see some differences, and others will follow in the next days, maybe weeks, but this doesn't meen any problems at all: there will be news on news!
For now I added up new pages, "Comics" and "Illustrations" which contains some of my works, as soon as possible I'll add others too.
As for the illustration of the week I present you something I've done yesterday night, for those who didn't play Final Fantasy VIII, from Squaresoft, this one is the main character, Squall Leonhart.
I wanted to experiment with markers so I choose to draw a character who affascinated me in the past.

PS: it seems there's a problem with the comment for Mozilla Firefox users, if you can't do that, try to change browser. I'm sorry for the inconvenient, I would like to solve it but it's probably a problem of the domain owner, Blogger, I hope they will come with a solution soon.

Ed eccoci arrivati al secondo post!
Il blog si trova ancora nella sua fase iniziale, quindi potete già notare alcune differenze, ed altre ne seguiranno nei prossimi giorni, forse settimane, ma questo non si traduce in problemi, anzi: ci saranno novità a raffica!
Per ora ho aggiunto le schede "Comics" e "Illustrations" che contengono alcuni dei miei lavori, presto ne aggiungerò altri.
Per la novità della settimana vi presento un'illustrazione fatta al volo ieri sera, per chi non si intende di videogiochi il personaggio in questione non è una mia creazione originale ma è il protagonista di Final Fantasy VIII (creato dalla squaresoft), Squall Leonhart.
Volevo sperimentare con i colori pantone e ho deciso che dedicarmi a un personaggio che in passato mi ha affascinato.

Ps: sembra che ci sia un problema per i commenti per quanto riguarda gli utenti di Mozilla Firefox, se non riuscite a commentare provate a cambiare browser, sono dispiaciuto dell'inconveniente e cercherò di risolvere ma temo che sia un problema del proprietario del dominio, blogger, spero che lo risolvano il prima possibile.

I'm Alex Tretola, my pen name is Xaelian, italian comics artist, illustrator and painter. Since years I am the search of an autodidact style realistic but comics directed at the same time, working in the meanwhile at the creation of a complete comics story that, I hope, will be published.
For today this is all...Oh, right, the samurai girl in this illustration is a character, named Kiara, of a manga I drawn in the far 2007, Yasushin. After almost 6 years from when I stopped drawing that manga, I couldn't but feel strange feelings in using pencils and markers to do draw her again.

Per chi ancora non sa chi sono, non c'è bisogno di presentazioni in quanto presto sarò conosciuto in tutto il mondo e allora sarebbe solo una perdita di tempo mettersi a scrivere di me, no?
Vi vedo scettici.....
E và bene, se proprio devo:
Sono Alex Tretola, in arte Xaelian, fumettista, illustratore, pittore e cantastorie dell'entroterra beneventano. Da anni sono alla ricerca, autodidatta, di uno stile che sia allo stesso tempo fumettistico e realistico, lavorando al contempo alla creazione di un fumetto completo mirato alla pubblicazione.

Per oggi è tutto...oh dimenticavo, la ragazza samurai in questa illustrazione ha un valore particolare per il sottoscritto, in quanto si ricollega al primo fumetto che abbia realizzato, per l'esattezza un manga disegnato nel lontano 2007, Yasushin, protagonista di questa storia era una ragazza samurai di nome Kiara. Dopo quasi 6 anni da quando ho smesso di disegnare quel manga, non ho potuto che provare una strana emozione nel riutilizzare i pennini a tale scopo.
